Re: 2006 1.6 HDi Xsara Picasso - starter motor Post by Timmo » Mon Dec 10, 2018 7:52 pm i odnt know how similar the picasso is to the belingo/partner engine bay, But for removing it i found out the top left corner as you look at the engine was the easiest option, wouldnt fit between the engine and subframe, wouldnt fit down the side the It's s right git of a job! One bolt from the top, but it's under the thermostat housing and is invisible. The other 2 from the bottom, one is easy on the bottom of the starter, the other is invisible over the top - I never managed to get this one out on my 307, despite about 3 tries! you need a 6mm allen on an extension of just the right length slid in over the starter but below the solenoid.
